Default My Ritualist/X Restoration Build

12 + 1 + 3 Restoration
12 + 1 Spawning Power

[skill]Spirit Light Weapon[/skill][skill]Wielder's Boon[/skill][skill]Mend Body And Soul[/skill][skill]Spirit Light[/skill][skill]Generous Was Tsungrai[/skill][skill]Soothing Memories[/skill][skill]Life[/skill][skill]Flesh Of My Flesh[/skill]

Basically you try to keep up Life for as long as possible. Spirit Light Weapon will give up to 28hps (which is equal to +12 regen) Mend Body And Soul acts as a heal and also condition removal. Wielder's Boon, mixed with Spirit Light Weapon, is a very strong heal. Generous Was Tsungrai is useful for making Soothing Memories cost at a minimal, and helps with Flesh of my Flesh. Spirit Light is yet another powerful heal. The spirit Life will make Spirit Light Weapon, Wielder's Boon, Mend Body And Soul, Ghostmirror Light and Spirit Light more effective. Flesh Of My Flesh is a hard res.

The bad thing about this build is it requires a spirit for maximum effect, and this build only has one, which is easily killed. To make this build most effective, try pairing it with another Ritualist with spirits.

All comments are welcome, whether positive or negative.

PS: This is my first Restoration build.

Spirit Light Weapon is awesome ^.^

For a little more self preservation, possibly bring an ash spell... Protective was Kaolei is VERY awesome, great healing, great defence. And then theres the classic Generous was Tsungrai, with some smart kiting on your behalf, you can easily stay out of trouble.

Of course, soothing memories + an ash spell is becoming a pretty standard combo... and I see that there is space in your build to have those two. I was never fond of Ghostmirror light, which can be replaced with the ash pot of your choice.

As well, if you carry Generous was Tsungrai, you are safe to use a superior rune of restoration, since your health will easily be 500+ after holding ash. Or for Protective was Kaolei, you'll have enough defense to stay safe.

If this is for pvp, I cannot say enough about Generous Was Tsungrai, it is just sheer 1337ness. Plus, it synergizes with FomF, and Soothing Memories.

I would`nt suggest bringing Spirit Light Weapon though. Imo, it is pretty weak. I`d suggest bringing Spirit Chanelling. It is great energy management, and the best part is that it still allows you to carry whatever you want, unlike AwS.

Also, I`d ditch Ghostmirror Light. It seems nifty, but it really isn`t that fantastic. You could probably fit in Resilent Weapon or something else.

I would also get rid of Life and Spirit Transfer too, but that really just boils down to your playing style.

It's mainly for PvE. If you want to PvP with it, I wouldn't bring it outside of RA/AB.

Anyways, after taking a closer look at some of the Ritualists spells and the advice from you guys, I think I'm gonna make some changes to the build. But with the spirit required spells, I'm unsure of a good spirit to use. Any suggestions?

Also, I don't think I'll be getting rid of Spirit Light Weapon. A maintainable, fairly spammable, unremovable +12 health regen makes me like it, especially if you stack it with someone elses actual health regen.

You've gone with all 3 conditional heals in the rit line - weapons, spirits, and item holding, which kinda spreads you thin. Any one of those three is more than enough to make a good build.

For example, a good "weapon" rit build would be something like:

[skill]vengeful weapon[/skill][skill]weapon of warding[/skill][skill]wielder's boon[/skill][skill]resilient weapon[/skill][skill]wielder's remedy[/skill][skill]wielder's zeal[/skill][skill]holy veil[/skill][skill]flesh of my flesh[/skill]

If I'm lugging along spirits, I usually bring recuperation , life, and offering of spirit. Offering helps with energy, and recuperation is just awesome at soaking up pressure (even post nerf)

Keep Spirit Light weapon, its amazing. AMAZING!

ANd if its for pve, treat yourself and buy yourself a superior rune of restoration. It'll help a lot.

Life is a good spirit, keep that... if you're exceptional at mainting a constant energy bar, then Recuperation can help a lot.

I came up with this Restoration build I like a lot...Posted on another thread. Plenty of party heals. Personally I've not found much use for Spirit Light Weapon..

Build is for PvE.

If you cast Protective was Kaolai and Life as soon as you start the battle you can then just stand by the spirit and heal using Spirit Light (for big heals), Soothing Memories (use as a cheap heal since you're holding an item), Mend Body and Soul (to remove conditions). If the party gets in dia trouble you can destroy Life with Feast of Souls, or drop Protective was Kaolai.

I LOVE this change to Protective was Kaolai. It's an awesome party heal but don't be put off by it's recharge...It's there so you can precast it and drop it when required... Spirit Channeling is in there as e-management...Perhaps you could use another elite. I played with this on Shing Jea Island (Zunraa's Quest - helped out a Guildie), in the Maguuma Jungle, and in Ice Caves of Sorrow. I will try it in some more high end areas later on to see how it fares but I'm loving it at the moment. If you leave Life for 15-20 seconds and then destroy with Feast of Souls it heals the whole party for a massive amount

Energy is no issue...you have instant energy regen when you need it and, thus far, I've only needed to use it rarely. I has considered using Reclaim Essence to destroy Life instead of Feast of Souls to provide an energy return but...meh...working fine so far.

I've been running the exact same build with 2 minor differences. I use [skill=text]Protective Was Kaolai[/skill] instead of [skill=text]Generous Was Tsungrai[/skill] and [skill=text]Death Pact Signet[/skill] instead of [skill=text]Flesh Of My Flesh[/skill]

The 90 HP party heal from PwS is nice and can be used right when Life expires for a combined 230 HP party heal. This should give you enough time to put Life down again.

[skill=text]Spirit Light Weapon[/skill] should heal for 32 HP each second at 16 Restor making it an unstrippable + 16 health regen.

With the recent change to [skill=text]Death Pact Signet[/skill] it is now a much better rez than FoMF, imo.

Edit: After testing things out in the tougher areas, I'm liking the following build:
Restor 16, Spawn 13
[skill]Spirit Light Weapon[/skill] [skill]Soothing Memories[/skill] [skill]Spirit Light[/skill] [skill]Spirit Transfer[/skill] [skill]Empowerment[/skill] [skill]Life[/skill] [skill]Protective Was Kaolai[/skill] [skill]Death Pact Signet[/skill]

It's pure healing w/o condition removal but it heals for a lot. Empowerment lasts for 54s so the 3 spirit dependent spells are available to you anytime. The +10e while holding an item gives you a larger pool to work with as well.

With +41 max HP and +24AL you become a lower priority target.

Also, during the 3s while putting down Life, if someone takes major damage you can heal them back up quickly w Spirit Transfer.

You could replace [skill=text]Spirit Light[/skill] with [skill=text]Mend Body And Soul[/skill] if you really want the condition removal.
